Commencement Information 2017
Congratulations to the members of the 2017 Graduating Class!
You have worked very hard to earn your degree and you must be looking forward to celebrating this accomplishment with your faculty, family and friends! We look forward to seeing you at the 2017 Commencement, an event that is so special to our graduates, their families and the NEIT community.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE:
Students who have completed or will complete all degree requirements during the following period: July, 2016 (Intersession) through June, 2017 (Spring Quarter) are invited to participate in this year’s ceremony.
WHEN AND WHERE:
Commencement will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Dunkin Donuts Center, 1 La Salle Square, Providence, RI. Directions can be found at: www.dunkindonutscenter.com. Graduates must arrive by 9:45 a.m. The ceremony typically lasts 2 ½ hours.
CAPS AND GOWNS:
You can order your cap and gown by completing the Graduation Form. If you have any questions, please contact Caitlin Beagan by phone at 401-739-5000 or 1-800-736-7744, ext. 3431 or by email at email@example.com. (Please put "Cap & Gown order" in the subject line.) There is no cost to you and you may keep your cap and gown as a keepsake.

HONORS AND HONOR SOCIETIES:
Graduates who are members of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) and the Alpha Chi Honor Society may choose to purchase a stole at the NEIT Bookstore or online from PTK (www.ptk.org) or Alpha Chi (www.alphachihonor.org) signifying their membership in the honor society. NEIT graduates who graduate with honors will not receive a stole unless they are a PTK or Alpha Chi member and purchase one; however, their names will be announced “with honors” when they cross the stage. If you have questions or would like to join one of the honor societies, contact Karen Arnold Schultz, Assistant Provost, in the Office of Teaching and Learning at firstname.lastname@example.org or 401-739-5000 ext. 3322.
Commencement will be a very special event for our graduates and their families. You may bring as many guests as you would like.
Information with more details about Commencement will be mailed to the homes of the graduates and posted online as we get closer to Commencement. If you do not receive information in the mail by mid-April, please contact Caitlin Beagan at 401-739-5000 ext. 3431 or at email@example.com.
