New Residence Hall - Coming 2017
NEIT is thrilled to be opening its first residence hall for the July 2017 quarter. The four-story, 400-bed facility will be located on our East Greenwich campus and will offer single and double occupancy rooms, along with semi-suites. As a resident student, you would have the opportunity to be part of an exceptional community. We know that learning takes place both in and out of the classroom, and our staff will work to provide you with a supportive home where you can thrive academically while also building lifelong friendships.
Please see our Frequently Asked Questions for more information. This website will be updated as more information becomes available, as we develop a residential program for our students.
The residence hall will be managed by a full-time, live-in, professional Residence Director (RD). The Director of Residence Life will also live in an apartment within the hall. In addition, 13 student Resident Assistants (RAs) will live throughout the building and will often be the first point of contact for students needing support or resources. The building will also have a security desk located at the main entrance that will be staffed at all hours.
Overview of Student Life at New England Tech
A place of learning is a place of energy and growing, New England Tech is where lasting friendships and memories are made. It’s no wonder that we hear from graduates all the time who tell us they have only fond memories of their time at New England Tech.
Students love the friendly tone set by our distinguished faculty and administrators. Their doors are always open to students, so bonds of mutual respect and clear lines of communication are preserved.
In addition, there are valuable and interesting activities for New England Tech students. Among them is SkillsUSA, a national organization that prepares America’s high performance workers, offering training programs in technical occupations to more than a quarter million students. Participants are taught communication skills, work attitudes and self-reliance. Besides promoting an understanding of the free enterprise system and involvement in community service, SkillsUSA sponsors exciting competitions on local, state and national levels.
