East Greenwich, RI – Seth Kurn, Executive Vice President at New England Institute of Technology (NEIT), announced that the college has partnered with the Rhode Island Radio Hall of Fame (RIRHOF) to establish a first-time scholarship award in the amount of $1500.
The scholarship announcement was made on May 9, 2013, at the Rhode Island Radio Hall of Fame’s Induction Ceremony held at Twin River Casino, in Lincoln, RI.
The Rhode Island Radio Hall of Fame Scholarship will be presented in December 2013, to a New England Tech student enrolled in the college’s Video and Audio Production Technology Associate in Science degree program. Student selection will be based on academic standing and/or faculty recommendation.
As Kurn stated, “Our college community is so pleased to now be associated with the Rhode Island Radio Hall of Fame. We are very grateful for its generosity and commitment to those students who are working towards a career in the radio production field.”

The Rhode Island Radio Hall of Fame was established in 2008 to honor those men and women who have contributed to the 91-year radio industry in Rhode Island.
