New England Tech instructor Stephen Souza teamed up with Good Natured Dog Productions and Mandy Miller, of SHIFT Communications this past weekend to film their entry for the Rhode Island “48 Hour Film Project.”
After being assigned the genre of “Western,” and a character of “plumber,” the group set off to create movie magic in just one weekend. In just 48 hours the group had to write, cast, and film their flick, which had a time limit of no more than seven minutes. They also had to ensure the film was handed in on time – just one minute late would mean they would be disqualified.
The films entered into the competition – about 30 in all – will be premiering this week at Cinema World in Lincoln, with the winner to be announced on August 17 at the Columbus Theater in Providence.
