News from New England Tech’s Career Services Office

Many companies have reached out to the Career Services Office lately looking for Information Technology (IT) graduates – particularly IT grads with strong software skills.

One local RI company with a global presence, a long-time employer of NEIT grads and considers NEIT a “preferred college” when seeking graduates, is in need of 50 new employees who have a degree in software and some experience in the field.  The Career Services Office is ensuring that NEIT graduates are aware of these opportunities.  Fourteen of those jobs are entry-level, so upcoming NEIT graduates will have an opportunity to be candidates for those roles.

Another company in RI reached out to the Career Services Office to for assistance in finding twenty .Net Developers.  The company has already started to interview NEIT grads, and one NEIT grad has an offer.

A local design firm specializing in web sites and company branding for some of the largest companies in the US has reached out to NEIT for Game Development and Software Engineering (GDS) grads to fill 20 open jobs. The company has already hired one GDS grad and will be at the annual Career Expo event at NEIT on Thursday, March 6, to screen NEIT students as potential new hires.
