Volunteers Needed for RI First Tech Challenge

RI FIRST Tech Challenge 9th Season Call for Volunteers 

The 9th season of the Rhode Island FIRST Tech Challenge (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) hosted by New England Institute of Technology( NEIT) is underway.  NEIT is looking for technical professionals, educators, parents and all others interested in encouraging middle and high school robotic teams.  Each season approximately 32 robotic teams design, build and compete with their robot in the RI FIRST Tech Challenge.

We need you! Adult volunteers are assigned key roles to keep the qualifiers and tournament on track.  No need to be an expert in robotics or engineering, just a willingness to support our R.I. students in their interest in technology.

Volunteer at a Qualifier! Teams in RI need to advance to the state tournament by participating in a qualifying tournament.  The dates for the qualifiers are 11/22/14, 12/6/14 and 1/3/15. All qualifiers

Volunteer at the State Tournament! 32 teams will advance to the RI State Tournament. The event is a held on 1/31/15 with set up and prep on 1/30/15. Volunteers for State Tournament must volunteer at one qualifying tournament.

RI FIRST Tech Challenge 9th Season Kick-off

First Championship 2012. St Louis.2014-2015 Season Kick-off Saturday September 6, 2014 

Calling all students, educators, parents, mentors, and volunteers who have an interest in robotics!  The Rhode Island FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) sponsored by New England Institute of Technology invites you to the kick off the 2014-2015 robotic season!  The FIRST Robotic Kick-Off event will offer workshops as well as revealing the 2015 game for the first time.  Groups interested in establishing a FIRST Tech Challenge Robotic team are encouraged to attend.

Over 37 Rhode Island teams were involved in FIRST Robotics last season.  Students in grades 7-12 are eligible to participate in the FIRST Tech Challenge.  Don’t miss out! RI FIRST Tech Challenge Qualifying Tournament

Join us for an afternoon of robotics as part of the RI FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) qualifying tournament.

The qualifying tournament will be held at New England Institute of Technology in East Greenwich RI, sponsor of the FIRST Tech Challenge in RI.

Robotics

Rhode Island middle and high school FIRST Tech Challenge teams will try to maneuver their robots on the competition field in preparation for the RI FIRST Tech Challenge State Tournament.

This high energy events will be held on Saturday January 18, 2014 from 1 until 4 p.m. at New England Tech, One New England Tech Boulevard, East Greenwich RI.

This event is free and open to the public.
