Phi Theta Kappa Students Are Honored

21-Phi Theta KappaOn March 10, 2016, the Media Presentation Theater at the East Greenwich campus was the setting for the 11th Annual Phi Theta Kappa awards presentation. Established in 1918, the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society is the oldest, largest, and most respected honor society serving associate degree students.  Phi Theta Kappa serves to recognize and encourage academic excellence and provides opportunities for growth and development through honors, leadership, and service.  The Beta Xi Phi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa was chartered at NEIT on February 16, 2006.

To be eligible for membership in Phi Theta Kappa, students must have completed at least 24 quarter hours of coursework leading to an associate degree and a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.80.

Alpha Chi Honor Society Members Announced at New England Tech

Rhode Island Alpha Chi Honor Society - New England TechThe Second Annual Induction Ceremony of New England Tech’s Rhode Island Gamma chapter of the Alpha Chi Honor Society was held on December 13, 2012.

The Rhode Island Gamma chapter of Alpha Chi was established at New England Tech in April, 2012. Students eligible for membership include the top 10% of baccalaureate and graduate students in all academic disciplines.

Celebrating its 80th anniversary, Alpha Chi has inducted 300,000 members in more than 300 chapters.
