Advanced High Performance

New England Institute of Technology will be offering an Advanced High Performance Program in conjunction with the Automotive Technology program beginning in October of 2007. The Advanced High Performance Program will educate students on developing horsepower and torque by means of bolt-on performance accessories, powertrain modifications, custom powertrain tuning, and suspension tuning.
Students will have the ability to make modifications and measure horsepower improvements on New England Tech owned vehicles or to their own vehicles on our new Chassis Dynamometer. Students will also be able to measure horsepower and torque changes produced by the addition and modification to various components, perform custom dyno-tuning on engine and transmission related components, and obtain the skills and experience necessary in developing reliable horsepower. This is largely a hands-on class where students will hone their skills through practice and testing.
