Game Development & Simulation Programming — Bachelor’s Degree

  • Earn your Bachelor’s Degree in as little as three years, day or evening sessions.
  • Acquire the technical skills necessary to implement games on a variety of platforms including phones, handheld devices, Nintendo, Xbox and others.
  • Learn to apply key principles of software design, as well as specific game algorithms and techniques.
  • Design and implement games of increasing size and complexity.
  • Class work is centered around developing games in small teams, which allows students to acquire both the technical and interpersonal skills necessary for the game and simulation industry.
  • A key feature of this program is the senior capstone project. Student teams will design, collaborate with an artist, storyteller and coder to produce a game. Development will include creation of a game world, adding characters to the game world, and adding artificial intelligence to the characters. This course will also offer the students significant autonomy to develop and explore interpersonal communication skills and project management, including scheduling, project tracking, and risk management.
