Master of Science in Engineering Management (MSEM)
Advance Your Career
If you have the ambition to develop the business, financial, process and production knowledge necessary for a leadership role in the engineering management field, our Master of Science in Engineering Management (MSEM) program could be right for you. This highly distinct program in our College of Graduate and Professional Studies is designed for recent graduates and working professionals seeking career advancement in engineering and related design fields.
Our MSEM program is different from an MBA. It provides a unique integration of technical and managerial courses to create a curriculum designed to bridge the gap between multi-disciplinary fields of engineering and the field of business management. The program provides the necessary business intelligence to improve processes, as well as the specific knowledge and skills essential for higher level supervisory and management positions.
You’ll benefit from the active learning environment which NEIT has been honing for more than 75 years, as well as cross-disciplinary team projects and active case study analyses. You’ll develop core competencies in the management of engineering projects and processes, product production and engineering services.
Our faculty are industry leaders in their respective fields. They’ll get to know you and your career aspirations and can often help you identify career opportunities.
Recognized Quality at a Competitive Price
Our MSEM program is competitively priced among other private, non-profit universities in the region. You’ll have the option to take some classes in an online format if you choose. The same qualities which earned NEIT the #8 ranking nationally – and the #1 ranking in New England and Rhode Island – for the quality and value of its online bachelor’s degree programs* have been applied to the development of our on-campus/online (hybrid) MSEM program, so you'll receive a high caliber of education at a very competitive cost.
* Top Online College: U.S. News and World Report (January 10, 2017) 1st in Rhode Island and New England • 8th Nationally for “Best Online Bachelor’s Programs.”
Flexibility and Convenience
The program is designed to accommodate the schedules of working professionals, with classes scheduled in the evening. To provide even greater flexibility, you may elect to take some classes in an online format.
The program start dates are in the Spring and Fall. If you take two classes in each quarter, you can complete the program in as little as 18 months.
