Video Game Development & Design

You will immerse yourself in a solid, comprehensive program of knowledge and skills for both video game development and design. Named one of the top national schools for video game design by Princeton Review, the program at New England Tech lets you choose from our 5 degree programs that feature hands-on, state-of-the-art hardware with industry standard software.  You will learn from industry leaders in, specialized labs, which include the HP Gaming Lab, with very high-end workstations, the Design Lab, with twenty Cintiq Workstations and the Main Game Lab. You will be able to work in the Main Game Lab, featuring a motion capture stage, VR/AR equipment, and the Game Library, outside of class time.

Our small class sizes and industry-experienced faculty mean you will get plenty of opportunities to prepare for a variety of career paths in the electronic and simulation industries. Pursuing our programs, you can develop advanced skills necessary to develop and implement games on various platforms, including phones, tablets, Nintendo, and Xbox. You will learn coding skills for new technologies such as VR/AR games and the advanced skills to develop and maintain backend servers for game player data. You’ll also gain sought-after project management and team-based collaboration skills, giving you a well-rounded approach to both technology implementation and professional business savvy.
