Taking Your Next Steps

Whether you’re headed for construction, cybersecurity, occupational therapy, nursing, or one of our other graduate programs, each major at New England Tech has different admissions requirements. While all graduate applicants must complete the same core steps, it’s helpful to understand the additional requirements of the program you’ve chosen.

Requirements

  • For All Graduate Applicants
    • Apply for admission online
    • Submit ALL of your official college transcript(s).
    • Refer to the applicable graduate program section for additional program-specific admission requirements.
    • Please note: New England Tech does not require graduate applicants to submit graduate entrance exam scores.
  • Construction Management (MS)

    A candidate for admission to the Construction Management (MS) program must have the following:

    • An undergraduate bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch. or B.S.), Architectural Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Interior Design, Construction Management, Planning, Business, Finance, Management or a degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
    • A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (out of 4.0) in an appropriate bachelor’s degree program.
    • A personal statement that describes how obtaining a graduate degree from New England Institute of Technology will enable you to meet your personal goals as a professional in construction management.
  • Cybersecurity Defense (MS)

    A candidate for admission to the Cybersecurity Defense (MS) program must have the following:

    • A Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, information technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
    • A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (out of 4.0) in an appropriate bachelor’s degree program.
    • A current resume that reflects considerable professional experience.
    • A personal statement that details your qualifications and interest in the program and how it will enable you to accomplish your professional goals.
  • Engineering Management (MS)

    A candidate for admission to our Engineering Management (MS) program must have the following:

    • A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
    • A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (out of 4.0) in an appropriate bachelor’s degree program.
    • A personal statement that describes how obtaining the Master of Science in Engineering degree from New England Institute of Technology will enable you to meet your personal career goals. Your statement should include your career goal(s) and a discussion of how NEIT’s unique learning environment is integral to achieving these goals.
  • Information Technology (MS)

    A candidate for admission to our Information Technology (MS) program must have the following:

    • A Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, information technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
    • A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (out of 4.0) in an appropriate bachelor’s degree program.
    • A current resume that reflects considerable professional experience.
    • A personal statement that describes how obtaining a master’s degree in Information Technology from New England Institute of Technology will enable you to meet your personal career goals. In your statement, specifically discuss your career goal(s) and discuss how NEIT’s unique learning environment is integral to achieving these goals.
  • Nursing (MS)

    A candidate for admission to the Master of Science in Nursing program must have the following:

    • An official transcript showing courses and associate and baccalaureate degrees completed that are from an NLN, ACEN, CCNE or NLNCC accredited institution.
    • At least 1 year of clinical experience as an RN within the past 2 years.
    • An unencumbered United States license as a Registered Nurse.
    • Documentation of having successfully passed a bachelor-level statistics and health assessment course with a grade of B+ or better, if transferring the course from another institution.
    • A personal statement that describes how obtaining a master’s degree in Nursing from New England Institute of Technology will enable you to meet your personal career goals. In your statement, specifically discuss your nursing background, including current nursing practice and educational history. Also discuss why you are applying to the MSN program and how your current work experience and achievement of this degree will contribute to nursing practice. Please also discuss your plans for completing the MSN program.
  • Occupational Therapy (MS)

    A candidate for admission to our Occupational Therapy (MS) program must have the following:

    • An associate degree in occupational therapy from an ACOTE-accredited educational institution.
    • Current certification as an occupational therapy assistant by the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (COTA).
    • A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (out of 4.0) in occupational therapy from an ACOTE-accredited educational institution.
    • A personal statement that responds to the following:
    • The mission of the NEIT Occupational Therapy program is to prepare Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants to become leaders in critical thinking and problem-solving for service management in health care and community programs.
    • In accordance with our program mission, please provide a concise and well-constructed response to all of the following key points:
    • In your own words, what does it mean to be a leader?
    • What compelled you to change your career path from COTA to OTR?
    • How do you envision yourself as a leader in the field of Occupational Therapy after completion of this degree?
