Taryn Aldrich, Coordinator of the Writing Center

Taryn has been named Coordinator of the Writing Center in the Academic Skills Center.  For the past year, she has been teaching the AS 044 Reading for Technology class and has also worked in the Writing Center as a tutor.

Taryn has a Master’s degree in Human Development & Family Studies from the University of Rhode Island and a Master’s degree in Professional Writing from Kennesaw State University.  Taryn’s teaching and tutoring experience gives her a wealth of knowledge that will benefit the students at NEIT.

Taryn is looking forward to expanding the services of the Writing Center and reaching a greater portion of our student population.  She hopes to accomplish this by increasing Writing Center publicity via social media, enhancing the Writing Center website, and integrating virtual and peer-to-peer tutoring services as New England Tech continues to grow.  She also looks forward to collaborating with faculty to identify and address students’ needs when they visit the Writing Center.
