NEIT's Heidi Allen Receives Fulbright Specialist Program GrantFaculty Member Receives Fulbright Specialist Program Grant

Heidi Allen, Esq., Associate Professor in our Business Management Technology program, has received a grant from the Fulbright Specialist Program (FSP). FSP awards grants to qualified U.S. faculty and professionals in select disciplines to engage in short-term, collaborative projects in over 100 countries worldwide.

During the spring quarter, Heidi will spend six weeks in the English Language Division in the Business Department at the University of Mining in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine.

In this capacity, she will teach English for Business Purposes to undergraduate students and work with university instructors on curriculum development. In addition, she will conduct workshops for university instructors and local teachers. Heidi is so excited to have been chosen for this program and is looking forward to teaching English as a Second Language –the focus of her master’s degree.

Heidi has been teaching at NEIT since 1989. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University, a master’s degree in Education from Rhode Island College, and a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School.
