The Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) National Honor Society recognizes the achievement of surgical technology students and supports the learning and professional development of its members. Students must meet the following criteria to become a member of this prestigious honor society: completion of 85% of the graduation requirements from an accredited surgical technology program; maintain no less than a cumulative 3.75 GPA (based on a 4.0 grading scale); maintain at least a 95% overall attendance rate; be a good school citizen with no disciplinary actions; project qualities of integrity and leadership in academic and extracurricular activities; and be an active member of AST.
