Occupational Therapy Faculty Nominated

Great news!  Joanne Jones, Assistant Professor in the Occupational Therapy (OT) Department, has been selected to author items for the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant certification examination for the National Board for Certification for Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) for 2013. Contributions by registered and certified OT professionals, like Joanne, ensure that the exams reflect a realistic representation of clinical practice. This is very important to the success of the entire certification process.

This past July, Karen Morgenstein a Lab Assistant in the OT Department, traveled to Washington to work on the Audit Validation Team which reviewed applicants for renewal of their NBCOT certification. Then in September, Karen went to Chicago to serve on the Certification Examination Validation Committee where she participated in critiquing proposed questions for the national exams.

We are so fortunate to have such knowledgeable and dedicated faculty.  Nice job, Joanne and Karen!
