New England Tech Graduates First Welding Engineering Technology Class

Announcing our first graduates from the Welding Engineering Technology course!

Hands on welding degreesOf the five students graduating, three of the students immediately began full-time welding jobs, and the two remaining students will be continuing their education at NEIT in the Mechanical Engineering program.

Kate Messer was hired by Rhode Island Engine Company in Narragansett, RI and Wayne Conant was hired by Ocean State Technical Services, in Providence, RI. Both students took part in an internship at their respective companies and were hired on as a result. David Bustin was hired by a major Department of Defense contractor as a Production Welder, while both Keith Chasse and Gagny Diawara are furthering their education at NEIT in Mechanical Engineering Technology studies.

April is National Welding Month, according to one of NEIT’s welding instructors, Tim Kinnaman.
