News from Career Services: July Wrap-Up

Even while many students were on break, job opportunities continued to pour in all month long! Almost 200 job leads were sent to the Career Services Office during July. Over twenty students and graduates let the office know that they have secured employment throughout the month, as well! Some of the positions were:

  • Probationary Police Officer for the Providence Police Academy (CJA)She is the first NEIT candidate to be hired into the academy and complete the 22-week training prior to graduation  – She will be sworn in August.

EMPLOYER NEWS

 Tasca Automotive Group visited the campus to discuss ways to attract more automotive and auto body students and grads, along with ways to partner in the promotion of NEIT to high school students.  Further discussions with Tasca will include awarding scholarships, loan forgiveness program, have more of a presence on campus and host internship opportunities.

The Career Services Office will be holding a Networking Night on Thursday, September 14 that will be geared towards our Architectural Building Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, and Interior Design students and alumni. Employers will be on campus sharing information about their respective companies and the different types of career paths available in the industry.
