Welding Training Program

With the goal of offering students real-world, hands-on welding skills needed to succeed, students will tackle things such as air carbon arc cutting, SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW.

While learning the ins and outs of welding is the primary concern, there will also be a focus on safety procedures and policy, blueprint reading, and CADD (computer-aided design and drafting).

When you earn your associate degree in welding with NEIT, you’ll have completed 30 courses ranging from interpreting engineering blueprints, to industrial welding, to technical math and physics.

With these skills, you’ll be prepared for many different positions such as a production welder, welding engineering technician, or even a salesperson. Either way, you’ll have plenty of options at your disposal.

The goal of the Welding Engineering Technology program is to achieve core objectives such as problem-solving abilities, communication and teamwork skills, as well as being able to apply the knowledge you gained to real world experience.
