Building the Future
A new 45,000-square-foot facility on New England Institute of Technology’s East Greenwich campus will expand hands-on building trades education and address growing workforce demands throughout New England and beyond.
Designed in collaboration with industry partners, the $40 million center will feature cutting-edge labs, specialized training facilities, and flexible learning spaces that reflect today’s workplaces. The facility will support Electrical Technology, HVAC/R, Plumbing and Heating, Building Construction, and Construction Management, and will serve approximately 1,000 students annually.
Scheduled to open in early 2028, the Innovation Center will double NEIT’s skilled trades training capacity and help meet the growing demand for highly trained professionals across New England and beyond. Through immersive, hands-on education and access to industry-standard technologies, students will graduate prepared to enter essential careers that build and maintain the communities we depend on every day.
Building on our longstanding tradition of hands-on education, the Innovation Center will help shape the future of skilled trades education at New England Tech. As industries continue to evolve, so must we.
