These critical steps must be completed to be considered for grants, loans, or work-study:

  • Visit https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa to complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Beware of false sites that request payment.
  • Click the “Log In” button.
  • Click the box on the left “ENTER STUDENT’S FSA ID.” If you do not already have an FSA ID, please click the link to create one. Make a note of your FSA ID for future reference.
  • Log in to the FAFSA application with your FSA ID.
  • Link your federal tax data when prompted on the application. The FASFA requires tax data two years before the school year (2022-2023 school year requires 2020 tax data). Gather your records regarding 2020 untaxed benefits, such as child support, worker’s compensation, disability, Veterans benefits, etc.
  • Select New England Institute of Technology to receive your Financial Aid results, or enter our Federal School Code directly: 007845 . We will receive your results within three business days.

Non-US Residents: have a copy of your alien registration number or permanent residence card.

The priority application deadline for Fall 2022 is March 1, 2022
