New England Tech’s Esports Team competes through the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE). Building strong teams in the most popular collegiate game titles and competing with the best across the nation remains at the forefront of our mission. Being part of NACE (National Association of Collegiate Esports), NECC (National Esports Collegiate Conference), and CCL (College Call of Duty League) will allow players the opportunity to compete at the highest levels in their game.

NEIT’s Tech Tigers practice and compete in the Esports Center at our main campus located in East Greenwich, Rhode Island.

In addition to a strong varsity program, New England Tech also offers robust esports club and recreation programs.

Meet the Coach: Eric “EMPERIC” Medeiros

After graduating in 2020, Eric “EMPERIC” Medeiros returns home as the first head coach of New England Institute of Technology’s Esports program. Medeiros is a long-time esports fan and competitor having over five years of active industry experience.

Beginning with esports competitions in smaller games, Eric moved to play Overwatch for two years in semi-professional and amateur tournaments, competing for Elevate’s professional esports organization. After his time in Overwatch, Fortnite launched in 2018 and took the world by storm, and Eric joined as well. Under the Alliance brand, Medeiros dominated smaller Fortnite tournaments around the country. He is driven to build top-level teams and advance our esports presence as the first Tech Tigers Esports Head Coach.
