  • Placement Testing

The English and Mathematics Placement Exams are administered to determine a student’s first coursework at NEIT. All incoming students are required to take the exams, unless they have already done so through the Academic Skills Center or they have received credit for coursework taken elsewhere.

In order to take the exams, please follow the steps below:

    1. Go to https://neit.instructure.com/login/canvas
    2. Your canvas username is your entire personal email address
    3. Your canvas password is: placementexam2020
    4. Click on the Placement Exam which you’ve been assigned (either “NEIT Placements ASC500” or “level2mathplacementasc”)
    5. Select “Course Modules” on top left
    6. Complete the exam(s)

Living On-Campus

All new incoming students who are enrolling in an associate degree program are welcome to apply for housing. A formal offer of residency from NEIT will include a guarantee of six consecutive academic terms (the typical length of an associate degree program). Exceptions may be available for those students in associate degree programs that require a seventh term. Students may later apply for additional terms of housing, but residency will only be granted on a space-available basis.
