Jody Barna, an Entrepreneur who Owned her own Business for 10 Years, Discovered her Future in Graphic Design at New England Tech.
For Jody Barna (Graphic Design, ‘25), returning to college for her degree in Graphic Design while balancing family and career required determination and courage. “It was a big leap of faith. But I feel like it was just meant to be, and it was the perfect time. I felt like I had to do it now.”
Jody always had a passion for graphics and art, working in a printing business after a graphic arts high school program. After learning as much digital design as she could, Jody felt stuck keeping up with it on her own.
After visiting other colleges, one day Jody walked into New England Tech and met a Graphic Design faculty member. “I loved hearing about the program and knew that was exactly what I wanted to do.” The whole admissions process was smooth — she applied and got everything she needed quickly.

“I was nervous coming into NEIT with life experience not having a degree. But you get to jump into classes and what you want to do for your career right away. Even the Photoshop tools I’ve learned in the past month are skills that would have taken me six months to learn on my own. New England Tech has moved me to the next level.
