When New England Tech opened its first Rhode Island campus in 1940 technical training colleges were in their infancy. In those days, the family radio was the go-to entertainment appliance, and computers were only seen in science fiction movies.  Even back then, we saw the need to close the gap between technical training and traditional college courses, so we made a commitment to be a leading technical training  and business skills training school – and that promise has remained unchanged ever since.
